Meatball Molly and Joel bring inspiration from italy to liverpool

The Polpetta story 🫒 Polpetta was born out of friendship and a shared love for boss food. Joel McCarthy and Molly McCann are the faces behind Polpetta, a brand new Italian inspired kitchen and deli. Joel, a trained chef, has worked in the food industry for over 10 years and prior to her UFC career Molly was the Queen of meatball sandwiches whilst working at Subway, which is were she picked up her fighting name “Molly ‘Meatball’ McCann”. Their experience and shared passion for great food is what led to the idea of Polpetta! Polpetta means ‘meatball’ in Italian, we couldn’t think of a more fitting name for our new kitchen and deli. Our hearty menu includes Italian inspired handmade subs, pastas and some pretty special sides 🤌🏻

Beef and pork meatballs, sugo, provolone, pecorino, basil

Whipped nduja ricotta, prosciutto cotto, fennel salami, bresaola, sun dried tomato mayo, honey vinaigrette, seasonal salad leaves

Braised beef, beef fat mayo, roast peppers, giardiniera, bone marrow jus


Aubergine Fritta Sub

Marinated fried aubergine, sundried tomato mayo, smoked provolone, herb dressing

Creamy Truffle cheesy sauce, pecorino, pangrattato


Chicken Cotoletta

Breaded Fried Chicken - Parmesan aioli, gremolata, pecorino, fried capers
