How are we? We hope you’re well and safe.
As you all know our doors have swung open and closed quite a few times this year but the big doors are back open on 2nd December. We spent the time in lockdown following the government’s guidelines and announcements closely and preparing to welcome you all back.
We know keeping up with the tiers and new rules is very confusing so hopefully this will help. Just know your safety, our staff and all our traders safety is of utmost importance. Baltic is belter… and it’s back. Again.
Our opening hours will change every so slightly! We will still be open Thursday -Sunday. So that means our opening hours will be: Wednesday + Thursday 5pm-11pm, Friday 12pm-11pm, Saturday 11am-11pm + Sunday 11am-10pm. When we are open we are also on Uber Eats for delivery! Check on the app if we deliver to you.
App ordering system
We will be using UberEats for delivery, collection and their new ‘dine-in’ option Upon arrival you will be greeted by our host, taken to your table and requested to download the UberEats app where you’ll be able to order from any of our food traders and bars and we’ll bring it to your table.
The newest introduction from the government is the ‘substantial meal’ rule where you have to order food to be able to order drinks! Luckily we’ve been serving substantial meals for over 3 years so as long as you order food you’re all good to order drinks.
Track & Trace
Upon arrival one of our hosts or hostess’ will greet you and ask you to check in on the NHS track and trace app. If you can’t or don’t have the app then one of your party’s name, number and email is fine This is just to assist the NHS and all information will be destroyed 21 days after your visit and we will never use your details for marketing purposes.
Table service only
In order to keep everyone safe we will be asking people to stick to their tables (unless they need the toilet) and use the app to order your tasty food and drinks! Not a bad compromise, eh?
Entering + One way system
Upon entering you will be asked to pop on your mask until you’re seated. If you leave your table to go the toilet we ask if you could please pop it on! If you are exempt from wearing a mask please, please bring the exemption with you. We want you, our staff and our guests to all feel safe at all times. We will have markers on the floor to direct people to the toilets and back – please stick to this to help us manage the flow and contact of people.
From what we’ve read of the rules, two households are allowed to mix outside but not inside. The rule of six still applies! Luckily we’ve just built a new outdoor area that is sheltered and heated so your halloumi fries won’t get wet.
After a party leaves their table our staff will disinfect and wipe down each table and seat before another party is allowed to sit down. There will also be lots of hand sanitising stations dotted around the market.
A lot of people have been asking about a bookings system as of late. To launch we will be opening like we usually do, meaning anybody can just turn up. If we hit max capacity we will form a queue with markers for people to stand on outside. If we ever look to change this we will let you know.
Time Allowed On Tables
There’s no time limit on your tables but we do ask if you could give us it back after an hour and a half or 2 hours so it allows us to turn the tables quicker!
Delivery and collection
As some of you may know we launched on Uber Eats a couple weeks ago and we cannot thank you enough for the support. Seeing people’s faces picking up their food or being tagged in people’s pictures at home has been super heartwarming. We know this is the first stage of reopening and that Covid-19 hasn’t just disappeared so we are still offering delivery and collection for those that don’t feel comfortable enough visiting us yet. We can deliver up to 2.4 miles away and anyone can collect.
It’s been a tough time for independents the last few months so please support and help your favourite indies or try discover some new places. Just please be patient and kind – we’re living in strange times and everyone’s doing their best.
