Hey all. Long time no speak. How are we all?
If you’re following our social media you would have seen our latest announcement that we are reopening in April following the government’s news that venues that operate outside can reopen. Granted, it’s not exactly how we would have liked but hopefully it wont be long before you can come inside and anything other than a Zoom quiz sounds great these days.
We’ve had questions all weekend so we just thought we’d answer them all in advance in one easy article so you can spend less time worrying about the details and more time looking forward to ACTUAL pints with ACTUAL humans.
What date are you reopening?
April 14th which is a Wednesday (pray for sun!)
What will your opening hours be?
Wednesday and Thursday 5-10pm, Friday 12pm-11pm, Saturday 11am-11pm and Sunday 11am-10pm.
What traders will be open?
Obviously we can’t have ALL of our traders open with such capacity but we will have half of them! We will announce who you can expect nearer the time. Expect some tasty food.
Can I book?
We aren’t doing bookings! Believe us, we’ve considered it many times but with the huge problem of people not turning up for tables and the operations of it all – we’ve decided to keep it first come first serve as usual.
How long do I have the table for?
In the past we’ve not had time limits on tables but due to the amount of people we’re expecting coming down in comparison to space we’re allowed to operate in – we’re going to have a 2 hour limit on tables. Apologies in advance if you wanted to make more of a day of it but this way it just allows us to control the queues and flow of people much more. We’d be happy to suggest some neighbours to continue the good times with after visiting us.
Do I have to order food with every drink?
The government have scrapped the substantial meal law. You don’t have to order any food to order drinks!
What happens if there’s no tables left?
Just like what happens usual we will have a socially distanced queue and as soon as a table comes available it will be cleaned and you will be sat down.
What are the rules about how many people per table?
So far we know that the guidance states groups of 6 people from mixed households can meet up. So please stick to this!
Do you take cash?
Unfortunately all ordering is done through an app at the moment!
How do we order drinks and food?
All will be explained on arrival to you but drinks and food are ordered through the Uber Eats app if you’d like to download it in advance.
Even though we aren’t allowed inside, what happens with toilets?
Guests are allowed to come inside and use toilets! Please bring a face covering with you and stick to the one-way-system to make it easier for everyone.
Will you be doing takeaway?
Yes! When our traders are open inside the market they’ll also be on UberEats for delivery if you don’t feel like venturing out just yet! (as long as you fall within our radius).
